The Shift That Changed How I Show Up in My Business

There was a time when I felt like I should be showing up more.

Posting regularly.
Staying visible.
Keeping up with everything.

And for a while, I tried. But it never felt natural.

It felt like I was constantly starting over and creating content just to keep up, without any real sense of direction behind it.

What Wasn’t Working

I was approaching content the way most people are told to.

Be consistent.
Be visible.
Post more.

But none of it felt sustainable for me.

Not because I didn’t care about my business —
but because I was trying to force a way of showing up that didn’t actually fit how I work

The Shift

The shift wasn’t about doing more. It was about getting honest.

I stopped asking:

“How can I show up everywhere?”

And started asking:

“Where does showing up actually make sense for me?”

That question changed everything.

What I Focused on Instead

Instead of trying to maintain multiple platforms, I focused on one that already felt aligned.

For me, that was Pinterest.

A place where my content could live longer, where visuals mattered, and where I didn’t have to constantly be “on.”

And instead of creating content daily, I started creating things that could work over time.

What Changed After That

Everything felt lighter.

I wasn’t chasing visibility — I was building something sustainable.

My content had more intention behind it. My visuals became more important.

And my energy shifted from “keeping up” to actually creating something that lasts.

Did it help? Absolutely. I’ve consistently hit 1.3-1.5 million monthly viewers since.

The Role of Visuals (This Was Key)

Because I wasn’t posting constantly, what I did create needed to work harder.

That’s where visuals became essential.

Not just pretty images and templates, but content that:

  • felt aligned

  • worked together

  • represented my brand clearly

This is what allowed my content to carry weight, even without constant output.

What I’d Tell You If You’re Feeling Behind

You don’t need to be everywhere.

You don’t need to force a system that doesn’t fit you.

You need to find a way of showing up that actually works — and build from there.

A Final Thought

There’s more than one way to grow a business.

The moment you stop trying to follow all of them…
is usually when things start to click.

If You Want Support With That

Having visuals that already feel aligned makes it much easier to create content that lasts, instead of constantly starting from scratch. Explore the Library »
